That's it in a nutshell. Whatever YOU want to ride. It's a personal choice, whether financial or personal preferrence, and what anybody else says doesn't matter.
I just lost a good (what I thought was good) friend because my SO had some cash to buy another bike and chose a Yamaha Royal Star instead of a HD. He would have had to borrow for the HD. Paid cash for the Royal Star. Pretty stupid reason to loose a friend. Her thought was, if it's not a HD, it's not a bike. Called him a HD wanna be. She ws mad at ME for what HE bought. She had no problem, so she said, with my bike since I was only beginning. I guess she looked at my bike as a beginners bike. Since she and her HD boyfriend just broke up, she can ride alone now. I was the only girl biker she rode with. Her loss.
